That being said, as I'm sure many of you know (or maybe just fellow college football fans?) tomorrow is one of the bigger days on the annual CFB schedule…the Red River Shootout. (Im sorry…I just cant call it the Red River Showdown. Feels dirty. Or like a kid playing dress-up. Or…well, you get the idea)
Anyway, Red River is the annual Oklahoma-Texas game, played halfway between the two in Dallas at the Cotton Bowl, right outside the Texas State Fair. It is a spectacle in every form of the word, a true mecca that every sports fan must make the pilgrimage to at least once in their life.
As their is no way I could ever put into words the enormity of the history of this game, I shall instead call a quick audible, bringing in the brilliant folks at Funny or Die to provide some bit of context….
(Also…I may or may not have been in this role myself a time or ten. Yes…I relish it.)
